Pratap Public School, recently embarked on a dedicated journey towards promoting cleanliness and environmental awareness during their Swachhata Pakhwada campaign from September 1st to September 15th, 2023.

This noteworthy initiative was driven by the school's dedicated leader, Mrs. Poonam Navet, the Hon'ble Director Principal as she took the opportunity to educate students on the dire consequences of plastic pollution, the elimination of Single Use Plastic and alleviating plastic pollution while adhering to the 3R’s (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) principle instilling in them a sense of environmental responsibility.

The school made a significant commitment to preserving the environment by officially declaring itself a 'Plastic Free Zone.' A ban on single-use plastic items was swiftly implemented within the school premises. A team of teachers inspected the water and sanitation facilities in the school and carried out a swift evaluation of the water-sanitation-hygiene facilities. All types of waste materials such as sanitation waste, broken furniture, and obsolete equipment were removed from the campus. Routine sanitization and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces was also ensured.

Besides teachers and students took the initiative to disseminate the theme of Pakhwada among their family members, neighbours, and residents in the vicinity.

The culmination of the Swachhata Pakhwada festivities featured a solemn Cleanliness Pledge administered to both students and staff.
