National Mathematics Day

PPS, Jarnailly colony  celebrated National Mathematics Day on 13th December 2022 to mark the birth anniversary of legendary Mathematician- Shri Srinivasa Ramanujan that falls on 22nd December. 

To highlight significance of the day an array of activities were conducted .The programme commenced with a skit on the concept of simple and compound interest.The students dressed up as Aryabhatta, Shakuntla Devi & Srinivasa Ramanujan presented the life journey of these mathematical wizards.

 The hilarious street play depicting life without numbers conveyed the importance of Mathematics in our life.

 In the end a short quiz was conducted to assess how much students know about Indian Mathematicians who made significant contribution to algebra, arithmetic and mathematics.

The honourable Director-Principal Ms Poonam Navet applauded the Mathematics department and students for the wonderful program. She exhorted students to devote more time to Maths on  regular basis.
