27th Sports Meet at Pratap Public School

Champions aren’t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them.

PPS Karnal celebrated its 27th Annual Sports Day on 9th of December 2022 amidst great pomp &show. In attendance at the gala event, the hon'ble Chief Guest, President Mr. Ajay Bhatia graced the occasion with his benign presence.

The event was also presided over by revered Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Director Students’Welfare, Director-Principal and Principal sector 6 branch &heads of various branches of Pratap Public School.

The honourable Director Principal ma'am extended a floral and a formal welcome to all the guests and the dignitaries. The Director Principal ma'am declared the 27th Annual Sports meet open after the Flag hoisting ceremony and a spectacular and well synchronized march past by the athletes. She declared the meet open, and the Meet Torch was handed to the Sports Captains by the Hon’ble Chief Guest.The students got into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the Sports Captain.

The cultural program made way for the highly awaited athletic events where competitiveness among the Pratapians soared to great heights, all the while maintaining the camaraderie and sportsman-spirit, so characteristic of the Pratapians. Students of classes 7 to 12 vied for the top spots in various track and field events including races 100m, 200m, 400m, 100m x 4 relay race, long jump, high jump, shot putt, basketball, volleyball and Kho-Kho. The categories were open for both boys and girls across three groups sub-juniors, juniors, and seniors. The campus echoed with thunderous applauses and exultant approbations for the enthusiastic athletes during the entirety of the meet.

The ceremony came to a closure with the felicitation ceremony wherein all the proud winners were awarded medals & certificates including the trophies for the Best Athlete by the esteemed dignitaries. Thereafter the Director-Principal declared the 27th Annual Sports Meet closed. The meet saw its culmination with the rendition of National Anthem.
