A Visit To ICAR

Following the Covid protocol, a group of  students along with few faculty members visited the ICAR- Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Regional centre at Karnal on 24  December 2021 .The visit provided students with the first hand knowledge about the ongoing research activities  carried out under DST-SERB  project "Unraveling the molecular mechanism of early maturing responsive genes in sugarcane through transcriptome analysis"

and helped them develop the culture of scientific activities.

At the start of the visit the Head of the Sugarcane Breeding Institute Regional centre Karnal welcomed the students and the faculty members. He briefed them about the various activities at the centre. After that a lecture on DST project related research work was delivered by Dr M. R.Meena Senior Scientist ICAR. 

The students then under the supervision of Dr M. R.Meena visited various laboratories of the Breeding Institute.

The visit proved to be highly fruitful as students gained an insight into the various activities carried out at Sugarcane Breeding Institute to the students.
