Webinar on NEP 2020

With a view to  providing teachers with deeper understanding of the milestone document,  NEP 2020, Pratap Public School, Jarnailly  Colony organised a series of webinars  from 15th to 17th December,2021.The series aimed at making the necessary preparations for the successful implementation of  NEP 2020 from  the academic session 2022 - 2023. 

The  highlights of the NEP  were discussed with the help of meticulously prepared  Power Point Presentations by the teachers. The teachers dwelt in depth the  features of the Policy  and emphasized the restructuring of curriculum and pedagogy  to make learning holistic and enjoyable. The objectives of NEP 2020 including universal access to education and retention of all children in school until the secondary level, a multi-lingual approach to teaching and the removal of rigid demarcation between subjects and streams were also highlighted. The strategies to effect a transition from rote learning to competency and skill based learning were also discussed. The teachers also shared the pedagogical reforms suggested in NEP 2020.

 The Hon’ble Director-Principal in her valedictory address acknowledged the resolve and collective efforts of all the teachers for effective implementation of NEP2020. Stressing that effectiveness of the policy depends on its implementation she shared new set of skills, pedagogy and mechanism required for successful implementation of NEP. She wrapped up the series expressing that the teachers would play a vital a role in transforming India as the global education leader.
