UNITED NATIONS DAY CELEBRATIONS

To mark the 76th anniversary of United Nations Day, Pratap Public School, Jarnailly Colony, Karnal  organised Model United Nation Assembly on 23rd October 2021.

Each year, the MUN assembly draws independent, discerning young minds to discuss, debate, and deliberate on pressing world issues and evolve as informed and responsible citizens of the 21st Century.

 This year the agenda of the MUN  was discussion on the topic ‘Crisis in Afghanistan’. The senior students  represented as  delegates from various member countries debated and  provided viable solutions to combat terrorrism in Afghanistan. 

The Director- Principal Ma'am Poonam Navet applauded  the  efforts of  Social Science Department  for guiding the students well and putting up an informative show. 

In her valedictory note, she highlighted the significance of United Nations as an organisation which protects and promotes global peace and  human rights.

She further emphasized that participation in MUN not only hones leadership skills, public speaking,  problem-solving skills but also fosters negotiation, critical thinking and teamwork in students.

On this momentous occasion, the Star Students for the month of October were felicitated by the Director- Principal Ma'am. 

Overall it was an enriching experience for one and all .
