Healthy Diet for a Healthy Body

"Your diet is a bank account. Good food choices are good investments"

One of the highlights of the 'Summer Bonanza' organised  by Pratap Public School, Jarnailly Colony, Karnal was the webinar on ' Healthy Diet for a Healthy Body' . The session was conducted by Dr Tamanna Narang, an ex-dietitian at Medanta

(and presently running her own health clinic in Panipat) . She held sedentary lifestyle and extensive intake of high calorie food  responsible for the ' obesity crisis' that the modern world  is grappling with.  She blamed the unhealthy diet as  the key factor behind  the crisis, and exhorted the young learners to follow good eating habits  to cover the risks .Besides, she also  gave  tips for whittling down the' bulge around the waist'. She strongly recommended  home cooked  food, and suggested corrective food habits and preparation of food according to the principles of nutrition. 

Hon'ble Director-Principal  ma'am urged  the students to build a sensible nutrition plan to ensure  good health  which is all about eating balanced proportions of nutrient -rich foods from various food groups.

The  session was very informative and highly rewarding and  brought the students closer to healthy ,nutritious and fat free diet which contributes heavily to their overall health and wellness .
