Turning waste into black gold

Art of Composting

' Be the reason for making nature retain its shape'

Under the ongoing online Summer Bonanza an interactive workshop on the art of composting was organised for classes 7th -10th .The session covered insights on sustainable development goals and inspired students to make individual

and collective efforts to fulfill sustainable development goals and save environment .The session facilitator Ms.Akanksha emphasized that it is essential for all to realise that every little deed matters when it comes to saving the environment as the saying goes

' every drop makes an ocean' it is true in this case as well.

As most of our waste is kitchen waste so treating it in the form of composting was covered in the session.

She also demonstrated the right technique of composting and motivated the students and staff to take responsibility of their own waste.

The Hon’ble Director Principal Mrs Poonam Navet also called upon the students to  initiate  composting  at home which requires a little  to no investment ,yet the pay off is huge. She motivated  them to make it a regular  chore with family and work  together to reduce family waste. The session really proved to be very interactive and inspiring one.

  • My daughter really performed well in her presentation on Healthy vs Junk food. All credit goes to her mentors. I really appreciate the initiative taken by the school for the improvement of students' overall development. I wish the teachers and the PPS society a very good luck for their future endeavors.
