Celebrating Independence Day at Pratap Public School

The school, on the 15th of August, 2020, celebrated the 74th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor, while strictly following the social distancing norms and the mandatory precautions.

The ceremonies of the day started with the Director Principal Mrs. Poonam Navet unfurling the National Flag with the school staff joining in saluting the Tricolor

as the air reverberated with the National Anthem.

This was followed by the mellifluous renditions of patriotic songs by the music faculties of the school reaffirming the resolve to serve the country till the very end.

In her message to the school the Director Principal’s speech, this year, talked about the great sacrifices of the freedom fighters both celebrated and unsung. She, very emphatically, sent across the message to the students that they need to rise against thedark challenge of CoVid19 pandemic and fight it. This, she said, was the need of the hour;so as to build a stronger, more resilient India. She assured the students that these, difficult and stifling times, too shall come to pass, just as after every dark night there is a bright day that follows. She then went on to congratulate the students on the exemplary performance in the board exams. She appreciated the efforts of the students who participated in the various activities during the past four months, saying that their creative endeavors were like sabers shredding the gloom of the pandemic.

With this emphatic message from the Director Principal, all present rose to the National Anthem and the day’s celebrations concluded.
