A session on Child Care and Protection Rights

An interactive session providing guidance on Child Care and Protection Rights, Juvenile Justice Act 2015 was conducted by hon’ble District Counsellor and Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee Mr Umesh and Counsellor in Child Welfare Committee, DCPS and JJ Board Ms Poonam Sharma in Pratap Public School, Jarnailly Colony, Karnal on 31st January 2020.

During the first segment, the students of class IX and XI were enlightened about the various constitutional provisions and helpline numbers to provide them safety in times of distress. 

In the  second segment, the teaching fraternity was also apprised of their roles and responsibilities  in prevention, identification, investigation and treatment of child abuse and neglect so as to ensure their safety in the school.

The Director-Principal Ma’am Poonam Navet concluded the session by extending gratitude to the resource persons for a highly productive and informative session.
