Social Service Week (18.11.2019 – 23.11.2019)

Love and Kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver.

Barbara De Angelis

To pay a tribute to our Former President Late Dr R.S.Bhatia – a great philanthropist, educationist, environmentalist and an ardent social worker, Prarap Public School, Jarnailly Colony, Karnal celebrated Nov. 18, 2019 to Nov. 23, 2019 as a Social Service Week.

Following in his footsteps, under the dynamic leadership of our Director-Principal Ma’am Poonam Navet, pratapians contributed stationery, toiletries and woollens generously to extend a helping hand to the lesser privileged. Throughout the week, students of class VII D initiated a Cleanliness  Drive to ensure cleanliness in the school campus.

23rd Nov., 2019, 95th birth anniversary of our Revered President Late Dr R.S.Bhatia, was observed as Prerna Diwas. At the very outset, Director-Principal Ma’am Poonam Navet, the school cabinet and the class monitors paid a floral tribute to Dr R.S.Bhatia- the architect of Pratap Public Library and Pratap Public School. This was entailed by a short skit on Tiffany Brar who took her blindness as a challenge and proved to the world that disability is not a hindrance to touch the sky. Ms Suman Lata recited an inspirational poem promising to fulfil Dr Bhatia’s dream of an educated and enlightened society. A motivating nukad natak presented by students of class VII appealed to the audience to discard the use of plastic in their lives.

The celebration ended with a solemn promise to perform our duties religiously and strive to give our best to the society.
