25th Annual Sports Meet

On August 29, 2019, Our Honourable Prime Minister launched Fit India Movement to encourage people to include physical activity and sports in their everyday life. To take this mission forward, CBSE has decided that each year 2nd and 3rd weeks of November will be celebrated as Fitness Weeks in schools.

Good things come to those who sweat.

To instill in students the importance of physical activity, Pratap Public School celebrated the much awaited 25th Annual Sports Meet on Nov. 14, 2019 amidst great mirth and verve.

The honourable Chief Guest Vice President Ma’am Deepika  Bhatia & Trustee  Mrs. Chahat Bhatia were felicitated with  a thunderous round of applause. The school administrator Mr. Parveen Kalra & co-curricular incharge Ma’am Kanika pinned up badges on to them as a mark of respect.

This was entailed by the unfurling of the school flag by honourable members of the management.  A spectacular, impressive and a well synchronized march past by the young athletes rendered the spectators   speechless and awestruck. Vice President Ma’am Deepika Bhatia  and Trustee  Mrs. Chahat Bhatia took the  salute of the impressive march past of the players.  Thereafter the Director-Principal Ma’am Poonam Navet declared the 25th Annual Sports Meet open followed by an oath administered by School Sports Captain Nikshay.

Once the races and track events began, the campus was echoing with the cheers for the enthusiastic players. Students of classes VII-XII competed in events including relay race, sack race, potato race, pair race, three-legged race. Tug of war, Kho-kho, Volley Ball, Basket Ball were some of the great attractions.

Pratapians enjoyed watching plethora of athletics events packed with thrill and excitement. They constantly applauded winners as well as players exhibiting their true sportsman spirit.

Musical chair for the teachers and the race organized for the   ancillary staff added fun and thrill to the celebration.

The Director-Principal Ma’am Poonam Navet declared the 25th Annual Sports Meet closed. The celebration ended with the National Anthem.
