Water Conservation & Ban on Plastic

Hon’ble Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Karnal visited Pratap Public School, Jarnailly Colony Karnal with a motto to awaken the young minds about the growing environmental issues like ‘Depleting Underground Water Level’ & ‘Harmful Effects of Plastic’ on 26th of August.

Students were apprised of various alternatives through which they can actively contribute to tackle these serious threats. They promised to discourage one time use plastic bottles.

The motivator, Mr. Nahar Singh and Trigger Master, Mr. Gurudev discussed at length about the consequences of grim reality about depleting underground water level in Karnal and told why it is high time to come into action.

Towards the end, biodegradable plastic packets containing manure were distributed among teachers & students. Everyone took a pledge to save water and replenish underground water resources.
