Earth Day Celebrations

‘The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it’Our planet Earth has its own day of celebration: April 22nd. Pratap Public School celebrated Earth day with great aplomb. The Director-Principal Ms. Poonam Navet graced the occasion with her benign presence.

A special assembly was organized to sensitize the students towards their role in addressing global environmental challenges.

The message was explicitly expressed through a speech followed by poems which were a solemn reminder of the contributions we can make in our everyday life to keep our planet clean. The students took pledge to preserve mother earth and to support Green Earth. It awakened in them the feeling of ‘It’s Our Earth’; it’s our responsibility to keep it clean; Together we can make everyday Earth day.  The students of classes VII and VIII commemorated the day by designing beautiful posters. The tiny tots also aimed at creating awareness by participating in balloon printing activities.

The celebrations rekindled emotive concerns and urged the young minds to develop compassion and to save, love and respect Mother Earth with all their heart and soul.
