Phonetics – A workshop for teachers

_auto_generated_thumb_To explain the complexities of English language, a workshop on ‘Phonetics’ was conducted on 8th February 2019 in Pratap Public School, Jarnailly Colony, Karnal. It was headed by Mr Abhishek Goel, Director, Saar Books Publications Pvt. Ltd.

This enabled the teachers to learn the technique of teaching children to begin building words as early as possible. Mr. Goel spelled out the importance of four skills i.e.

identifying, formation, blending and segmenting the sounds. Towards the end he discussed the tricky and special words which have irregular spellings.

The workshop proved to be beneficial for the language teachers as they found it to be a great opportunity to learn various activities and latest methodology of teaching the correct pronunciation and spellings in an easy and effective way.
