Van Mahotsav Celebration

_auto_generated_thumb_The school celebrated Van Mahotsav on July 25 with great enthusiasm. Meaningful messages were conveyed through the placards and posters displayed in the school. The Chief Guest Conservator Mr. Navdeep Singh Hooda added charm to the celebrations with his hallowed presence. The Vice President Ms. Deepika Bhatia and Joint Secretary Ms. Poonam Bhatia also graced the occasion.

The programme began with the formal welcome of the Chief Guest and the esteemed members of the management. A soulful song Haryali Ki Goad Mein was rendered by the students pleading to maintain greenery all around. Two thought provoking skits and a dance performance highlighting the dire need to save the environment were presented. The Chief Guest  also planted the saplings and gave an inspiring speech which sensitized the importance of plants to the students. The Chief Guest also honoured the students for their brilliant performances in the PET and KET Examination conducted by Cambridge English Language Group. Samaira of VII-A was also honoured for winning the under 13 Badminton Championship at National Level. A token of love and gratitude, a memento was presented to the Chief Guest by President Ms. Deepika Bhatia and Joint Secretary Ms. Poonam Bhatia. It was followed by formal vote of thanks proposed by Muskan of Class X. Thereafter a pledge to conserve environment was administered. The celebration ended with the National Anthem.
