Investiture Ceremony and Labour Day Celebration

On the auspicious occasion of International Worker’s Day i.e. 1st May 2017, Pratap Public School, Karnal held the grand Investiture Ceremony with great zeal & zest. The Investiture Ceremony marked a significant beginning of the new academic year 2017-18. The occasion was embellished with august presence of Vice- President Mrs. Deepika Bhatia, Secretary Mr. Sanjay Bhatia, Director-Principal Mrs. Poonam Navet and Incharge Junior Branch Mrs. Chavi Madan.

The function commenced with the welcoming of the hon’ble members of the management. The newly appointed council in perfect co-ordination with the beats of brass band thereby promising to shoulder their responsibilities with devotion and dedication. The Director-Principal Mrs. Poonam Navet administered the oath to the school captains & Vice captains. The worthy members of management and Director- Principal pinned the badges to all the emerging leaders. With a hope to uphold the good name of the school and bring glory to the institution, the school flag was handed over to the Head Boy & Head Girl.

The alfresco of PPS also witnessed the celebrations of Labour Day. The Pratapians saluted the unsung pillars  of mankind-the labour community for their valuable contribution to the society. An enlightening speech was delivered by Muskan of Ganga House. A Hindi skit and a melodious group song “Shram Ki Awaaz” entertained the support staff. A group dance performed by the students left the audience speechless.  A musical rendition by one of the support staff member also thrilled the audience.

The diligent & dedicated support staff was felicitated with a token of appreciation by generous members of management. Mrs. Veena was awarded with the most diligent worker award.

The Director-Principal Mrs. Poonam Navet expressed her heart felt gratitude to all the employees by acknowledging their valuable contribution to the institution. She further stressed that their irreplaceable inputs for the welfare of the institution and the society on the whole cannot be overlooked. She urged the students to honour & inculcate the teachings of great men like Swami Vivekanand who believed that “Service to people is service to God”.

She also congratulated the newly appointed student council and reposed her faith in them by stating that they will practice honesty and uphold the moral values of tolerance, respect for others and integrity in their life and be the role models for the students. She said “Pray not for a lighter load but strong shoulders”.

The programme culminated with a proposal of formal vote of thanks followed by National Anthem.
